Accessibility Statement for the Mental Health Review Tribunal for Wales

The Mental Health Review Tribunal for Wales is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

This accessibility statement applies to the website at: mentalhealthreviewtribunal.gov.wales.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

Some text and background colour combinations do not have enough contrast. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.3 Contrast (minimum).

We plan to increase the contrast ratio for all text and background elements to meet or exceed the minimum levels required by the regulations. This issue will be fixed in our next development cycle.

Some PDF documents published on the site since 23 September 2018 do not have a descriptive title. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.2 Page titled.

Some PDF documents published on the site since 23 September 2018 do not have a correctly tagged structure. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.1 Info and Relationships.

We plan to review all PDFs published since 23 September 2018 and fix any accessibility issues. We do not have a timeframe for this work currently, but documents will be reviewed and fixed in priority order based on importance to users.

Content that is not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

Some PDF documents published on this site before 23 September 2018 are not fully accessible. These are mostly historical documents and do not contain essential information for people to access this tribunal’s services. We do not intend to fix these files.
